UPDATED 08/09/21. All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and we want to make sure that we take every step to protect our clients, their families and our staff.

 

OUR PRIORITIES

-     To reduce the risk of transmission

-     To keep you as safe as possible

-     To protect us from contracting & transmitting the virus to you

 

So we will continue to constantly review our policies and the Government Guidelines to ensure that we remain a safe & Covid-Secure.

 

We are committed to ensuring that every measure is in place to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19, but we cannot guarantee there is no risk to you as a result of attending the salon.

 

Before You Book

 

If you have received BOTH DOSES of an approved Covid Vaccine and you have already completed our Covid Triage Form on a previous visit, you will not need to complete another form.

If you have not been to the salon since April 2021 & have never completed our Covid Triage Form, please complete the form when you make your booking.

 

Your Appointment

 

Please DO NOT make a booking or turn up for an appointment if;

 

1) You have had ANY Coronavirus symptoms in the last 10 days unless you have received a negative PCR test.

2) If you have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 10 days.

3) You are waiting for a Coronavirus test result.

4) You have been contacted by NHS Track & Trace or notified by the app advising that you have been a close contact of a positive case in the last 10 days unless you are double vaccinated and have received a negative PCR test (taken after being in close contact with a positive case)

 

In ALL cases, if you are unsure about anything, we can discuss this prior to making an appointment.

 

Booking Appointments

 

Online booking is available but you MUST complete our COVID TRIAGE before your appointment if you haven’t completed one since April 2021.

 

If any of our staff feel ill or have symptoms of COVlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be offered an appointment with another therapist or you will be able to re-book again.

 

If you feel ill or display any symptoms of COVlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT come for your appointment. We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to illness/self-isolation.

 

Visiting the Salon

 

The transmission risk has not disappeared so we will continue with our cleaning regime in between appointments so we ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible to allow us time to clean. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving and you won’t be invited into the salon until we have completed our cleaning regime.

 

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with our own COVID Risk Assessment for your safety.  Wherever necessary we will utilise single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.

 

You will have access to soap and hot water to wash your hands with as soon as you enter the salon.

 

Is a Face Covering Compulsory at The Lodge?

 

We will no longer insist on face coverings in certain circumstances but we actively encourage our clients to wear one during their appointment .  Face coverings will still be mandatory;

 

-     if you are unvaccinated

-     if you have only received the 1st dose of a Covid vaccine

-     In our reception area & toilets

-     If you are having a manicure treatment or eyebrow treatment.

 

If you have any medical condition that makes you exempt from wearing a face covering, please contact us before your appointment so that we can discuss how best to keep you safe during your visit to the salon.

 

Our staff will continue to use PPE during your visit and during your treatment. This may include disposable gloves, aprons, face masks & face shields where appropriate.

 

We reserve the right to ask to see evidence of vaccination.

 

Overseas Travel

 

Please follow the government guidelines regarding overseas travel & do not book an appointment if you should be isolating or if you are awaiting the results of your post-travel PCR test.

 

Our treatments

 

We may have to remove or amend our treatments at short notice to comply with Government advice. We will contact you as soon as we can to change, postpone or cancel your appointment.

 

During your treatment

 

Our staff understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we wash our hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.

 

We will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let us know and we will do what we can to accommodate you.

  

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our staff. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will review and amend them as necessary.
